Is GitHub down? ❌

Took all of 60 seconds to integrate @flareappio with my GitHub repo. Now issues are automatically created when errors come in and closed when the errors are resolved. Gotta love that!

A gentle reminder of what to do when you face an error: 1- Read the error message, it will tell you what to do 2- copy & paste the error message, check out SO and GitHub, and maybe even reddit 3- Use ChatGPT 4- work on it for at least 2 hours 5- only then ask someone else

Finally fixed a bug in the Jekyll blog theme I'm using. It was because of a **** GitHub Actions site test. The bug has puzzled me for FOUR MONTHS. That's right, I wasn't able to post a blog on my site for FOUR MONTHS—BECAUSE OF A BUG! But I'm really satisfied because I fixed it!

@mikemaccana @github Our tiny 5 people team is not able to fix this, and when it started it was one person. This is a @github problem to solve. Not ours.

With any tech, one of the most crucial aspects is support. What I can say so far is the support has been stellar via their GitHub or Discord.

This internet outage is something else. Tried to upload the client's images but nothing, switched to code and tried to access my GitHub repo. I'm still waiting for something, but for some reason, YouTube and my movie streaming sites are working. Rick and Morty it is😀😀

Note to self: #Laravel tests in fresh projects (at least with Jetstream) will fail when running in GitHub Actions, and this happens with an unhelpful 500 error. This is due to Vite, which you will need to disable in the test case to be able to run it in the CI.

Implementing AgX has lead me down a long and winding trail. It would be nice if there was a writeup on how it should work for people that aren't colorists. So far, the only help I've found are some Github comments going "these EXR files should look like this after tonemap".

Yayy 3 months after our Github app got blocked for exceeding ratelimits which we were correctly handling, and having to upgrade to an enterprise account to get our support ticket even replied to, finally Github acknowledged that there is a bug in their API and that they're fixing it.
