Well it turns out to run Steam you need XZ Utils, which 8s problematic give the current security issues over at XZ.

It's after 10 so I'm allowed to say this now. I feel so viciously down bad, im surprised steam isnt coming out of my ears. What is in the water?

Switched my steam deck to the preview update and downloaded 3.6.0 and try demon roots for a quick minute and its running pretty great now but it still has a problem of the full character portraits brightening diming with more than one one the screen being like 1 or 2 FPS

Now steam wants to fix itself … 😭

Anyone know how to still use a PS4 Controller with Steam with “Steam Input” disabled? Apparently that helps fix the issue but my roller doesn’t work when it’s disabled lol

I am generally not interested in handheld PCs that are large, but out of all of the large ones the steam deck is hands down still the most ergonomic. Wii U gamepad style stick layout is simply the king for this size.

With our event just days away, it’s full steam ahead. The next 6 days will be absolutely non-stop chockablock grind - planning, managing, hosting, entertaining, admin, operational procedures, problem solving … just ALL THE THINGS. This is where I thrive!

i tried to disconnect and re add my card from m*gstation not knowing there is an error STILL with specifically visa debit cards where it says ur card is unavailable. so i hope it ****** fixes itself before the end of the month bc i dont want to deal with steam or amazon timecards

The steam deck can do what the PS Portal does sure but it doesn’t feel the same.. the experience is different for me.. I guess when it really boils down to it, no matter how great the steam deck is; when push comes to shove, I’ll always choose my PS over it.. 🥺

My Steam machine is arguing with Helldivers. I'm making this everyone's problem.

The issue is that it’s still an Ubisoft game, and their games have been mid for a minute now. I’ve put 100 hours into AC Odyssey and the real reason I was able to enjoy that game was because I got it for $18 on Steam. If I’d paid full price I would’ve been ****** off.

Trading items through Steam appears to be down currently, as tradeurls stop working ( amongst other things ). It's likely this is just a steam outage, however possible this is an intentional end to trading.

why have my hours on ark / steam gone down from 1k to 750 hours? i was so proud of my 1k hours but its been slowly dropping over the past two years😭

Offline mode isn't compatible with steam deck do they realize there is two sides of steam deck now? I'm gonna assume they mean the default OS Linux. Thankfully im on Dual booted Windows Steam Deck. Though I'd still buy when I can & test no game funds this month.
